Buying artworks from this website
1. Buying art from the website
Paintings, prints and cards may all be purchased directly from the Sounding
Art website. The prices quoted are based on the dimensions of the actual
painting and include the frame unless the work offered for sale is advertised
as unframed. To make a purchase please contact Jane Mackay via the
feedback form to
check availability. Your selected artwork will then appear on the site as
'sold' and will be reserved for up to one week. You will receive a confirmatory
e-mail with details of costs, including p&p if applicable. Please make
cheques payable to Dr Jane Mackay: full and prompt payment is requested and
appreciated. Artworks will be available for collection or delivery as soon as
your cheque has cleared.
2. Collection of purchased artwork
Because of the risks of loss or damage in transit it is highly recommended
that purchasers collect artwork personally, if at all feasible. My studio is
situated in South East London outside the congestion charge zone, with free
on-street parking and good access to public transport. If collection is not
possible, arrangements can be made to deliver the artwork to you by post or
courier (or personally should a suitable opportunity arise).
3. Contracts
All purchasers of paintings and prints will be given two copies of a contract.
Both copies should be signed by you. Please retain one for your own records and
post the other back to me.
4. Commissioning artwork
I accept all types of commissions: for example paintings to celebrate
birthdays, weddings or anniversaries; designs for book jackets and greetings
cards and stained glass for windows and doors. I am very happy to work from a
specific piece of music if supplied on CD by the client. Please e-mail me if
you would like to discuss any ideas you might have for a commissioned work of
art.
